Once again, a natural disaster has visited our states. This time the devastation was not limited to one state, one city, or one town, it touched many towns and many lives. It will take weeks for these barely standing towns to begin the recovery process. Those lost during the tornadoes will be memorialized and remembered even long after the cities have been rebuilt.

It is time to remember those who have lost everything under the powerful forces of nature. Their needs are many and their grief is very strong. Supplies are still needed in the hardest hit areas.

At this time of great sadness and grief, the Scammers who have no heart or soul will try to take advantage of the generosity of strangers. It can not be said enough, you must be on guard for those who will try to profit from these circumstances.

Remember to watch your inbox for unsolicited emails. These are scammers trying to play on your heart strings. Those stories may be pulled off of news outlets or completely made up. Make certain to erase these immediately. They are all frauds.

Check out the charities before donating. Do not take a person's word that they are legit even if it is a celebrity or news organization. A simple investigation online should give you the answers you seek. Stay away from any that are very new, have an unprofessional website, or have iffy contact information. You should always check out the physical address listed and a reverse look up on the phone number will give you clues to the authenticity. If your instinct says no, don't type in a credit card number.

If there is any doubt as to the charity, stick to the well-known ones that are already well established.

Remember charities can use more than just money donations. The tornado victims need other things to. Donations of food, clothing, water, and personal supplies are needed. They have lost everything.

They said the toll may go higher. The tornado has officially knocked the Flint-Beecher(Michigan) tornado of 1953 off the top of the list of the most fatalities for a single tornado strike in recent times.

Only other one is the Tri-State tornado in 1925 that killed over 600 in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.

It's going to be days if not weeks before the total is known. That's a ton of rubble left to search.

I totally agree, all people watch your skies more and longer. Weather modification is definately going on, you just need to observe long enough and research. Please do, many lives are depending on awareness and standing up against it.

weatherunderground.com to see tornadoes at any time of day. Go to radar where ever you are concerned about. Click on radar and set the settings for "storm tracks"...animate...show rain...show lightning....and "all" storms (labeling on storm tracks)...look for purple triangles to see a tornado anywhere on screen. When you see purple triangle, it means there is a rotation detected. If it comes and goes and comes and goes...it is probably a real tornado also.

OP im not saying i distust the organizations that are listed but i would much rather go on a full blown collection and personally send items of need direct to someone that could give items out as needed,do you live in the area or know anyone who does?
