I don't think we should feel sorry for him or his kids. What is he doing wrong? Have there been ANY incidents involving this man or his family since 1999?

If his kids want to leave, I'm sure he wouldn't do any more than encourage them not to, but I highly doubt he would go so far as to kill one of em for wanting to leave.

I say let him live. To pity him is to view yourself as better than him, which you aren't. This is still kinda America, so I feel that he should be allowed to live like we all did 150 years ago. Hell, I wish *I* could be that self-sufficient.

You could make the argument that he did something to make the authorities want to arrest him back in 1999...but if they were really THAT concerned about it, he would've been hauled off or killed years ago and we wouldn't be able to read this article today.

A person willing to go to that extreme must believe he is in the right. Which would mean the cops lied in their report. And with the advent of celular phones being able to record video, dash cams for the police and other methods of recording we have witness countless times where the police lied about what occurred.

Ah, notice his house is called a "compound" by the media.
