I play a RR5fr(double lock floyd rose version) USA and a ESP/LTD(Indonesian) MH-50 double lock rose RR5fr-EMG81/85 ESP-Dimarzio Deactivator X, bridge and neck pickups. Use D'adario Superlight(42-9) and play Eb to E standard, used to play Drop A and D, but that was just too heavy. Key is.....Play what you like. Try an instrument before you buy, not one guitar will be favored by the next guy, there are so many choices, so choose the one that suits you! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1366664 Mexico 05/30/2011 05:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got one of these at a guitar center sale for 100 bucks! brand new..... I always go there a try out the guitars.... there were about ten of them and i picked out the best one.... all guitars have imperfections but you really have to play them to find out which ones have the least.... I made the mistake of buying one with a single pickup.... they had others with two but they cost 150 bucks.... I thought i was saving some money....i was wrong.... cause the single pickup is good for hard rock.... but i play mostly beatles now and recently added a second pickup i had lying around.... I love my epiphone.... feels great and plays like a son of a bitch that´s not me in the video....but it´s the same guitar....minus one pickup....like i said it´s good for hard rock... Strat is more versatile. Overdrive sound on Gibson was like butta' though. Have a Cort Starlite for a practice guitar. It's more of a shredder but Cort does good work for cheaper instruments. |

It's entirely subjective, there is no one 'best' guitar. Quoting: Ninja XYou can get one that plays well for a couple hundred bucks, but once you've played an old tele, strat or LP from the 50's and 60's and hear the difference then you get what all the fuss is about. |

Hard to describe. Money no issue. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1407456A Martin Acoustic Martins are pricy.. Alvarez will give you more bang for your buck.. beautifully made with incredible sound. These guitars have their 'own' spirit. And you're not paying extra for name and status. I own two.. 6 and a 12 string. |
