There simply isn't enough wealth! in the 19th century when communism was first synthesized on paper, it was simply a sociological observation by Marx and Engels, much like Durkheim's capitalistic The Division of Labor in Society. What we need to do, is create a new system that adapts the most workable parts of both communism and functionalism to modern society. It can work, but too many people are distracted by lefty/righty politics to unite and make real changes to the capitalistic system that is eating us from the inside out. |
