Quoting: Lady IvoryDon't let em censor you, say anything you want. Yes..but I was letting him feel important, because he seriously needs it..I dont ;) its ok..he's on my personal ban list. :), told you you could use that lol. No one is perfect. A babe before walking will first stumble and fall many times but NEVER gives up until he succeeds. Always remember, ultimately, to never follow any person's belief. Your relationship with God is between you and God. If nothing else, remember this: religion = subservience, control and conformity, the same template as EVERY government "Most believers would kill truth if truth threatened their religion." L. K. Washburn "This crime called blasphemy was invented by priests for the purpose of defending doctrines not able to take care of themselves." Robert Ingersoll "If anyone wants to know how God feels, it's a warm light as if the sun is poking through dark clouds and lifting your spirits with pure joy." |

Lady Ivory (OP) User ID: 1217642 United States 06/12/2011 10:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Smaller communities along the Missouri River may face the greatest flood risk this summer as the water rises. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says this summer's Missouri River flooding could rival the record years of 1952 and 1993 in places. Officials will increase releases to 150,000 cubic feet per second of water from five of the river's dams on Tuesday. Click here to find out more! As a result, the river will rise 5 to 7 feet above flood stage in most of Nebraska and Iowa before continuing into Missouri where it may rise 10 feet above flood stage in several places. The places in most danger of flooding include the small towns of Hamburg, Blencoe and Pacific Junction in Iowa; South Sioux City, Rulo and Plattsmouth in Nebraska; and St. Joseph, Mo. It looks like this is going to break the record of 1952. Funny how this year so far, everything is breaking records. At least they got the hell outta dodge! SLOAN, Iowa -- The WinnaVegas Casino & Resort in western Iowa has closed because of Missouri River flooding. The casino operated by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska near Sloan temporarily closed its doors Friday afternoon. The closure was announced on the WinnaVegas website. Workers have built an 8-foot berm around the casino to hold the river at bay. But the casino's general manager said that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers informed her that flood water will reach the casino by Sunday. The river is rising because the corps is increasing the amount of water it releases from upstream reservoirs to deal with heavy rains and snowpack. The river is expected to crest above flood stage in Iowa and Nebraska next week, but the water will remain high into fall. Releases set to peak Tuesday are expected to reach Boonville by Sunday, June 19, and push the Missouri River to levels ranging from 27 to 33 feet on the Boonville gauge. The range of the forecast has made it difficult to know what severity of flood to prepare for, said Scott Olsen, chief of the Boone County Fire Protection District. Above-average rainfall could push river levels past that forecast. More here..this is very close to me...heads up Boone county neighbors!
