Joe, how about letting us in on what social welfare programs that you now participate in or get benefit from? SS, Medicare, fire, police, military, paved roads,.......?

We can't afford not to have them, as that would cause a huge increase in violent crime and beggars living on the street. It's a worthwhile investment. If you don't like paying for it, it's easy enough to opt out of the tax system through alternative methods of earning income. I know lots of people doing that already.

Sure, I am on Social Security at age 63. I am not on any other program.

I have medical and dental care paid for through my former employer. It costs me $250 a month, but is not welfare.

As far as Social Security Goes, I have paid into the program 178,651 Dollars in my lifetime. I am receiving back $1,400 a month. At that rate, I am going to have to live for a hell of a long time to get my money back without interest.

Government should support business. By so doing government ensures employment of the people. The reason why we are losing jobs is because Government is not protecting business as much as it should. We used to have strong tariffs that prevented cheap labor countries from flooding our markets with cheap products and thus put Americans making those same products out of work.

The simple fact of the matter is that Government is not doing as much as it used to and we are suffering.

I'm not for long-term free-loaders sitting back, having one baby after another, for no other purpose than to qualify for more "welfare" money. But there are other programs like Social Security that people like me have paid into for more than 30 years that I feel have a place. And when you hear that those who collect benefits collect far more than they paid in, they're not telling you that those funds GROW over the years through legitimate and safe investments, like the once grade A US securities.

The problem is we are all being turned against one another instead of joining together and going after the true culprits, the international banks and those involved in the military-industrial-pharmaceutical complex. The fact is, there is PLENTY of money for all legitimate programs, it's just that it has been stolen.

And I'll tell you something else. There is money being made by the Federal Government in terms of oil leases and timber that no one seems to know about nor how much these funds amount to. These fucking oil companies that rip us over the coals at every opportunity should be paying WAY more for the privilege of drilling THE PEOPLE'S oil! And those funds alone would pay for all programs meant to help the elderly, the infirm, the widows and orphans (hint, hint), and others that truly just need assistance until they get back on their feet.

Let's face the facts here. As a people, we have opportunities to generate funds through tariffs, natural resource leases that benefit the people, not the corporations and individuals within government that are selling is short and selling us out.

There is a major effort underway to turn us against each other. We must resist this at all cost and focus on the true criminals, liars, cheats, and thieves. Seriously, give a second thought everyone, to blaming our economic situation on a small handful of slackers. They can be handled with little effort. We need to stand together, all of us, against the true perpetrators of the crimes that are hidden from view. A good place to start would be a true accounting of all funds generated by the FedGov. There is no reason at all that any of us should be paying a fucking income tax. That is nothing more than a control mechanism.

You are already on Social Security. If they get you on food stamps and medicare then they potentially have more leverage on you. They can control what foods are eligible for food stamps and what kind of medical care you get, or even speed up or prolong your death.
