Here here ... a few years back I spent a wonderful weekend in New York but the the 2 weeks traveling across America and the Airports before that was a fucking nightmare and that was before all of this shite ... Rent a cops treating people like dirt ... which as in stark contrast to when we went through Japan on the way home, polite friendly .. people get there are security issues ... it does not give you carte blanche to act like fucking wankers .... I will never set foot in that country again nor would i subject my family to that .. which is a shame because America is a pretty cool place full of wonderful people .... but you would be safer in the Middle east

All we'd have to do is just not fly for one week.

I think this is like telling people that we own your bodies. You will do for us whatever we say and you can't protest or you are in violation of the law.

If we want to touch you all over or look at you all over, we can. What is more violating than this? What will they think of next. There is really no excuse for this already.

All the public transportation keeps getting worse and worse. They hire the most obnoxious rude abusive inconsiderate and indecent people to work as the staff. The seats get smaller and smaller. The shocks even seem really bad and you get bumped all over and nearly out of your seat on the bus.

Not to mention the heavy diesel fumes that will knock you out if you sit in back, or the smell of the toilets in the trains and busses if you sit near them. It is enoughto kill you. It is enough to drive you crazy.

The ticket prices are very high also. It costs almost the same in gas to go anywhere locally, and the gas is very high. Public transportation used to be fun and pleasant and cheap. Now it is torture and a nightmare.

It's about humiliating us. To accept total slavery and tyranny over us. It's what psychopaths do.

i stopped flying and will gladly drive the 10-12 hours....

Totally disgusted !! As someone else said 'This isn't the U.S.A I remember....Worst story I have seen in years, to treat an elderly woman this way...aweful, just aweful. TSA has NO excuse for this ! People need to do something about all this BS.

If millions of Americans would refuse to travel by airplanes, then I'm sure the TSA would be disbanded somehow

Probably she leaned up her thoughts before voicing her comments to the press because she didn't want to be quoted as saying all the obscenities she was certainly thinking about this disgusting situation! Fuck TSA!

In 2006 my disabled friend had to fly out of Miami airport to Ohio and he had a supra pubic catheter and it was connected to a leg bag under his pant leg, he told me later that he was taken to a room by several men and they made him pull down his pants so that they could see if he really had the SP catheter, he told me it was the most humiliating thing he ever experienced.....

I have written articles for newspapers. I would have just quoted her as saying, "this is wrong" and the other things she said. But, I imagine you are right as to why she said it. But, why was it added (with that spelling) to the article? This makes me suspect the article writer is not on the daughter's side. Now whether they support the TSA or whether they just wonder why the daughter did not do something, I don't know.

I think there is more angles to this. Obviously, the TSA is using heavy handed tactics that seem aimed at humiliating people under the guise of providing security.

I think some people are showing up to airports unaware of what they will face (maybe they don't follow the news or naively believe they will be respectfully... so the ridiculous demands right before boarding are their first time to see this. Not everyone, but some people.) But, do all of these people comply? Dont some of them decide their trip isn't worth this? Or do they abandon patdowns and do the scanner?

The media seems to be taking a weird position on this... as if they are letting people know about it, but something is a little off about it. Maybe all the stories are heavily edited? Maybe there are even more stories that never get published?

We can stop flying. But, some of us already have. So, what is next?

Do they want us to keep to our own part of the country?
