I just read this - it's kind of scary to me, actually.

Keep in mind the finished product is expected to be six times as large as the model shown in the video! It will be able to stay in the air for up to three weeks at a time - and since it is an unmanned drone, will not need to be stocked with supplies.

Military Version Ready for 2011

Lockheed Martin and DARPA have been working on the same concept independently. While the U.S. military bought the SkyCat version, it has its own Lockheed Martin P-791 in development. Not much is known about the capabilities of this aircraft, however we do know it can fly at 20,000 feet. It is 250-ft long, double the size of the prototype flown in 2006. Oh yeah, and it can fly for 3 weeks at a time. This craft will be presumably unmanned and push the capabilities of fixed wing drones. [link to hubpages.com]
