State of Rhode Island, measures only 1045 square miles

Los Angeles covers 502.7 square miles.

Chicago 234.0 square miles

New York City 301 square miles

And the total are of the United States? 3,794,083 sq mi

So if china is buying up the USA one parcel of land at a time, lets say it buys 156 square miles a year, it will take

24,321 years for China to buy it all up.

If that was merely months, it would take 2026.75 years

If China was buying up that much land per week it would take. 467.71 YEARS

Even if China was purchasing that much land per Day it would still take 66 Years.

First of all, this land is not for communists, it is for those who love God and keep his commandments.

Secondly, if they do to our land and water what they have done to theirs, we have every right to be concerned. They have purchased a 50 square mile area in Idaho that will be self sustaining ie: their own military, police etc. They are also looking in Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania to do the same.

I think Ted Turner is a bigger problem. He's the largest landowner in Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana and is one of the largest landowners in Wyoming, Kansas and the Dakotas. Cherry County alone in Nebraska is bigger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined and he owns most of it. He's also not really producing on it, taking it out of the food chain. Nebrask actually has a law against this, but he even managed to get around that (Initiative 300, put into law in the mid '80s).

Can someone please explain to me why the U.S. would create this whole arcane system for allowing certain entities to get around Trade law, instead of simply changing the fucking trade law?
