Rain is in the Scripture 105 times and each time God is in control we forget this, drought is in Scripture 12 times and used as punishment , other words like shut up in Deuteronomy 11:17 lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.
I saw where many places in Texas has 90 days and less of water left and in the story not once did I hear prayer or God and He is the only one in charge. This is a letter out of Love to remind each community facing this , if you have not done this I will share what I have seen work.
Churches come out of your buildings , all Denominations as One have a prayer walk , with fasting and Praise asking God on your knees to help you be the community He wants , put more effort in this than you do in whatever is big in your community , sports, festivals and parades ect.
God has great Mercy and Love and if we get our hearts in right place this drought will end.

80% of California is now in extreme drought, new data show

ore than half of California is now under the most severe level of drought for the first time since the federal government began issuing regular drought reports in the late 1990s, according to new data released Thursday.

According to the U.S. Drought Monitor report, in July roughly 58% of California was considered to be experiencing an "exceptional" drought -- the harshest on a five-level scale.
California drought hits new record high
A federal report says more than half of California is now in an exceptional drought and that current drought conditions are the worst in the state's history.

This is the first year that any part of California has seen that level of drought, let alone more than half of it, said Mark Svoboda, a climatologist with the National Drought Mitigation Center, which issued the report.

“You keep beating the record, which are still all from this year," he said.

This week's statewide rains have made little impact in relieving California's extreme drought. In fact, according to a new scientific study, this drought is the worst that California has experienced in 1200 years. Researchers studying tree rings concluded that "the current event is the most severe drought in the last 1200 years, with single year (2014) and accumulated moisture deficits worse than any previous continuous span of dry years."
