This format allows candidates to fully experience the rich traditions of the three Masonic ceremonies in one day, the symbolism of which is intended to strengthen a mans commitment to his family, his Faith, and his community. Masons are men from a variety of ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds who share a belief in the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of God, work to improve themselves and their communities, and are an asset to all who know them. Membership in a Masonic Lodge is an honor that says a great deal about the character and personal integrity of a man. Men like George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, Dave Thomas, and Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) have all been Masons. Perhaps someone youve known and admired was a Mason
maybe even your father or grand father. Is it your desire to join the ranks of these men and others like them, both great and small, who are proud to share a tradition of excellence? General Explanation for Petitioning If you desire to join a Masonic Lodge and share in the fraternal fellowship that abounds there, you will need to fill out a petition for membership. To be eligible to petition for membership you must meet a few basic qualifications. Qualifications for Membership Application for membership is open to men who: Are at least 19 years old Have a belief in a Supreme Being Live a good moral and social life Do not advocate the overthrow of the government Can read and write English Are recommended by two members of the Lodge petitioned Your sponsors will know the amount of the initiation fee (generally ranging from $100 to $250) and will give your petition to the Lodge. Information Hotline If you do not know two members to recommend you and/or do not know how to contact the Lodge nearest you, please call 800-292-6092 and arrangements can be made to assist you. Itīs uncomfortable to have the men there in the first place. They should stay at home (or go to their lodge) and get out of the womenīs business.
Not that it matters I guess. All of the Eastern Stars that I have seen are bloody old. Itīs depressing and why some of the women that I know cut out. |

that is too bad that George subcribed to these folks if what you say is true. How do we know the painting was done at that exact ime? Iīm only bringing this up because some others have the same thought, but I do not see that here. He liked Philidelphia, which was not laid out in Pentagrams, so I wonder what is the aganda of this? |

He is in full masonic regalia." We have many paintings of Jesus. Yet we have no idea what he looked like. Just fyi, the 33rd degree is simply an honorary degree. Actual members do not reach that level. They only reach the 32nd level. And nearly all of them reach it. In order to becom a32nd degree, they have to learn certain info and then the positions of the lodge are voted on. Ususlly, all members become what is referred to as worshipful master. This prety much equates to the boss of the lodge. It changes every year and members do not repeat the position. No. I am not a mason. My father-in-law is. I have been to a few of the ceremonies in which he was awarded his positions. One more thing; They are elected to each position and they only move up one position at a time. Don't judge me monkey. |
