How many of you all have stop paying non-essential bills?

Did that for a while. Now I've worked my way out of the hole and getting caught up. You will too, hang in there!

The only bills I got are electricity water internet and insurance, I was smart and paid cash for everything

I am broke. The cost of food, fuel, and everything I need to survive has doubled. I have now stopped paying any bills that are non-essential such as medical bills, credit card bills, loan bills, insurance bills, etc. The damn economy is about to collapse. I am in full survival mode now paying only for food, electricity, water, and housing costs.

Well. My ex wife completely destroyed my credit then took our child and ran so I choose my battles with the collections ppl carefully. See yesterday's post when some poor AC was being harassed by a collection agent.

DO NOT let them control you. FUCK those piece of shit bill collector cunts! I usually put debt collection calls on hold long enough to go find an audience, roomate, neighbor what ever because I have a ton of fun with them. My credit sux backed by a country who's credit sux so bring it the fuck on and if you dare call me to demand payment I will accomplish one of two things by the end of the call. U fired or U crying and looking for new work.

I agree, life is so much easier here in Canada. There are days I miss living in the states, but lately, I'm glad I'm here.

i have a crappy nearly-fast-food service job and i can afford all my bills just fine. i pay rent on two properties, electric on both, internet, Directv, netflix, Xbox, Gym membership, fill my tank full of gas every time, expensive organic food, eat out, AND im still paying off my student loans..


and after all that i have enough money left over to save..


not sure what everyone elses problem is. but im guessing you all must spend lots of money on cigarettes and booze and probably some other drug addiction??

When I got laid off I stopped satellite TV. Got rid of my land line and went cell phone only. Canceled Netflix. Eat 1 hard boiled egg and muesli with almond milk for breakfast. Eat rice and cooked frozen vegies for dinner. Turned thermostat down to 60 degrees F in winter and of course no air conditioning in summer. Haven't bought any clothes in years. I kept my internet service because you need that to job hunt. Fortunately, my truck was paid off after 5 years and it's a Hondo so I expect it to go another 100,000 with no problems like the first 100,000.

We have. We mostly paid cash for years, but my health insurance has a $5,000 deductible (it was all we could afford) and when I got cancer we had to use credit cards just to get by. I can't work because of the radiation after-effects and my husband is 71 and in worse shape than I am. We get by on his Social Security and the little we can get with a few vending machines. It didn't help that my evil step-children screwed us out of our life-savings, either.

Maybe you should use some of the money you spend on n upgraded account and pay it towards the money you owe people? Money you had no problem spending when they let you borrow it???
