BREAKING <VENTING IN CALIFORNIA> VIDEO PROOF | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1463789 United States 07/31/2011 05:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A few weeks ago I was at a small country fair in which the main function is sitting in front of a country band and vegetating...doing nothing. I watched the sky as the stranges clouds came over...never saw anything so weird. Within 30-40 minutes the sky was filled with these very strange clouds. I waited forever for someone besides me to notice but no one did, except my little girl who is her mother's daughter. She, as a prospective future awakend soul, ran to me and said, "mommy quick. give me my camera. I have to take pictures of those funny clouds". Still no one even looked up. I nudged my husband and he said they were extremely weird and joined me in wathcing. Finally after an hour, I asked my neice if she noticed and she finally looked up and said "WOW". I don't buy the fact that people in the area of these supposed plumes aren't noticing and saying anything, so that is evidence of nothing happening. Sheep are Sheep and there is nothing else to say about that. For those that go out and see nothing....that is within a certain frame of time and maybe there was nothing. Can anyone say that they were in one of the areas in question at the exact time the plumes appeared on radar? I am asking this as a serious question. |

FieryFlies User ID: 1331993 United States 07/31/2011 07:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wow, tensions are sure high on this subject. Some people believe they are plumes, others think not. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1463789Why not put all the facts together and stop fighting over who is correct. Fact #1: There is concrete proof the pacific plate is moving. Fact #2: This movement was bound to affect california and the west coast of the Americas. Fact #3: There has been concern by "researchers and others" that the Long Valley caldera has been becoming more active. Question #1: if there was military excersizes going on in the area of the alleged plumes, why doesn't the military show up to the party? Why doesn't the USGS contact the military to get the concrete proof that is needed rather than putting out a wishy washy press release. Question #2: What is the potential of volcanic activity in the areas of the alleged plumes? Let's start here: [link to www.nationalatlas.gov] This map shows there is a volcano called Coso which is considered a potentially active volcano: [link to www.nationalatlas.gov] How come I have never heard of this before I researched this? The Coso volcanic field is also well known as a geothermal area. Fumaroles are present along faults bounding the rhyolite-capped horst and locally within the rhyolite field. A multi-disciplinary program of geothermal assessment carried out in the 1970s defined a potential resource of 650 megawatts electric with a nominal life span of 30 years. Judged by the youthfulness of the rhyolite lavas and by a zone of low seismic velocity crust roughly beneath the rhyolite, a magma body may be the source of thermal energy for the geothermal system. Commercial development beginning in the 1980's resulted in the startup of a geothermal steam-driven 3-MW electric power plant in 1987 ... and also: The west side of Coso volcanic field is crossed by Highway 395 at the village of Little Lake, approximately 34 kilometers north of Inyokern, California. I believe this area is one of the sites on Dutchsinse's alleged plumes. I am not saying yay or nay. I am saying there is not enough evidence to support either theory. Until something concrete happens no one will know for sure. Someone needs to go out to these sites (preferably with the proper protection) and test the air for levels of methane and whatever other toxins a volcanic plume of steam or whatever would produce. Is there anyone out there that can tell us if steam plumes that cannot be seen by the naked eye beyond a doubt will show up on radar. So for you naysayers, can you agree that the areas in question are potentially an area in which one might see increased seizmic and volcanic changes? Can you agree that there are some GLPers that live in that area have reported rumblings etc. and have been concerned for some time? And for the volcanic plume believers, can you admit that this area is riddled with US government military installations and be more open to the fact that this could POSSIBLY be military related and finding the truth for once and for all? We are better than this GLPers, what's the deal? We should work together rather than against one another. There are too many unanswered questions. . . frankly, anything is possible. Why doesn't the USGS contact the military to get the concrete proof that is needed rather than putting out a wishy washy press release. Question #2: What is the potential of volcanic activity in the areas of the alleged plumes? A:1. If the military had to come forward everytime a UFO was seen.....then the military would be called liars as well. The USGS issued a factual statement and were attacked. It has been a week for any proof to the bullshit. Dutch owes the government a refund for his education. A:2. Geological time frame could be anyway now. Our lifetime, not very likely. I agree to disagree on any number of issues, but to try to convince all the people out there that this is occurring and asking people to promote hysteria based on misreading radar and maps is wrong. Too many people in these areas to keep something so eventful under wraps. This proves that the area is still active. |

It was raining so hard this morning around 5-6 am that I heard it banging on the roof. It continued raining through the early afternoon off and on. Humid all day. We rarely experience such tropical weather in this area. |

You're a fucking idiot. hmmmmm, then go up to MONO lake and try jumping in for a bit. I tell you this I went to Convict Lake last year for a camping trip, we visited the Hot Springs which were fenced with WARNINGS to not enter, this year when I went, there were even more signs and fencing to keep you out of the unpredictable Hot Springs. 5-10 years ago you could swim in any of those Hot Springs. No volcanos California that FUNNY!!LOL Brings to mind an old movie.... "Dante's Peak". Linda Hamilton and Pierce Bronsen. "Man was also in the beginning with God. fairflight User ID: 1071336 United States 08/01/2011 03:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Found an interesting article! It is dated July 30 2011 USGS wants monitoring tower erected in Crater Lake "In order to monitor a potentially active volcano in Oregon's Crater Lake National Park, the U.S. Geological Survey wants to build a 60-foot tall tower that will allow the transmission of information from surveying instruments". Rest of article here: [link to seattletimes.nwsource.com] Did some reading on 'Crater Lake' and supposedly, the last time it was active was 5700 B.C. If this is true then why are they errecting a monitoring tower? Given all of the suspected venting going on in California to Nevada and Oregon, this article may prove to be a warning that what we believe we are witnessing on radar as venting plumes may in fact be just that. Here are a couple of links to give insight to what 'Crater Lake' is. [link to en.wikipedia.org] [link to en.wikipedia.org] "Man was also in the beginning with God. We flew over, just to the south, of the first plume mentioned on U-tube, I looked at it from above for as long as I could. It was definitely not an ordinary fire. It was a huge ploom shooting straight into the sky from a small point on the ground. Mentioned it to my ride home from the airport, and he said it must be a wildfire because smoke was drifting across the 15 Frwy. We let it lay at that. Until I found the information from the authorities stating it was not a fire. So was it a big bomb with a plume like result? Don't know. If it was, someone must have heard it. Could it have been a dormant volcano spitting up at rebirth? Hmmmnn. Sounds more interesting. Would a fissure make a sound? |
