It gets blistering hot every july and sometimes august to for the last 30 years i have worked in it in pennsylvania, this is nothing new except people are to spoiled by air conditioning and are not used to the heat, it is called aclimatizing and this heat has happened in the past many times and the real threat is global cooling cause if it drops and seals you in well i guess they whoever finds you in the future ice cores they might find a sliver of one of us in a ice core. Heat is our friend not the cold of space where no one like us can survive unless we are hot sparks of energy, ah well i could go on but i usually post things short and sweet and to the insane point.

I posted this thread in mid 2011. The last twelve months have been THE HOTTEST on record. It is kinda sad if you can't understand what that means.

About 15 years ago, when I was 15 (haha), there was a heatwave and I distinctly remember the forecaster saying that every few years or so Texas goes through a 7 year drought and it has to do with El Nino/La Nina.

Sure it's been hotter in localized areas, but this was widespread throughout the Midwest and NE, and for several days. A ton of heat records were shattered

It's been a very mild spring/summer here in East Texas. We've had two hay cuttings already and we are almost certain to have a third. We had 2.75 inches of rain yesterday and a 65% chance today with a high temp today of 88.

Last year we had one cutting of hay at about 50% normal volume.

OP you should be careful not to become a "false prophet" yourself and also who you're listening to as far as your "predictions" go..

Here are a couple of your prophecies that didn't pay out:

Elenin simply came and went without trouble, as far as the alignements well the "biggest" one was in Sept and nothing happened AT ALL

Finally cooled off some in Virginia, but between the derecho storm and the 104 degree temps, this has been a notable summer again -- last year the summer was notable for the 6.0 quake we had here. It does seem that a message is being sent in a very clear & loud fashion. It does also seem that a few are waking up ... only a few.
