So... the Bible tells you not to take the mark of the Beast so you can't buy or sell. In other words, without the mark you will be shut out of participating in the marketplace. Unless you have a vast network to trade with and/or can be 100% self sufficient (know how to make eyeglasses?), you'll be in trouble. I would imagine that even if you had the resources for self sufficiency for a few years, at some point the government will outlaw what you have anyway. (e.g. Patriot Act granting feds the right to seize seed, fertilizer, tractors and fuel, water, etc.)
