middle east is not the source of all religion. there are a lot of different religions on the planet. south american religions, chinese philosophies, japanese religion, nordic beliefs, all differ from each other.
however, NONE of them have anything in common with the religions that are out of middle east. ie, sumerian origin. caanan/arabian peninsula shit.
while the other religions on the planet evolved from daily lives and natural needs, or ponderings of people regarding the existence, middle east religions have been always power schemes which put an all powerful priest-king of a 'single' god on top of all other people to control them. basically, they are control and repression schemes. presence of a priest caste may also accompany depending on times the religion was popped out.
in short, anything that is out of middle east is one element in a series of shit that follow and reinforce its predecessors' repressive schemes. this includes ruling over the people as a divine right to repression of women or invading and subduing other societies to forcefully convert or enslave them.
it is as such right from the roots of middle eastern beliefs in the priest-king cults of the warring farming city-states to islam.
I get a big kick out of reading the endless mish-mosh of religious dogma and everyones hostile opinion of it on here. What completely boggles my mind is that (new glp'rs aside) all you religiholics can not possibly have missed reading about astro-theology and the given references of the ancient Sumerian tablets which have been deciphered for our perusal.
What the fuck is wrong with you people?
You have heard of the phrase "Follow the Money", well, just use that tactic in regards religion and follow the myth. Don't waist your time getting bogged down in the endless minutiae ALL THE VARIOUS RELIGIONS offer. Christianity, Islam, Judaism and all the rest owe a big thank you to the Sumarian mythology.
That is your source.
Go to it and be a highly informed individual that can proudly discuss with others the origin of religion without feeling like you are not quite telling the truth. Everyone else is just trying to make a buck on the ignorance of suckers.
