One of the main areas of research for at least one of the briefing panelists is prediction of flares.

“For the first time, we can tell two to three days in advance when and where a solar flare will occur and how large it will be,” said lead author Alysha Reinard, a solar physicist at NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center

With her participating in the briefing, it's either going to be about improvement made in prediction timing/accuracy.....or about something coming that they're predicting.

YES I HAVE NOTICED! I telecommute for 11-17 hours a day and for the last few weeks my 4G Verizon and Sprint have issues. Even my WiFi router at home loses it's Internet access and then comes back. Very frusterating to have to reestablish two VPNs and apps.

Dr Guhathakurta also manages a theory, modeling and data analysis program to integrate scientific output, data, and models to generate a comprehensive, systems understanding of Sun-Heliosphere-Planets coupling. She is the discipline scientist of this new discipline titled "Heliophysics".

Certainly have. I have always had strong, reliable signals, and now they're almost a joke. Was almost pulling my hair out trying to figure out what the problem was. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

I bet the HYRDA project in NYC will survive. It's the Superconductive Super Grid that was started in 2007 and came online in 2010. The logo is a 7 headed dragon, think Revelations with the dragon having Great Power. AMSC stock was at $6 when I bought it and it reached $45 in January 2010. Now it's at $6 again. Maybe a good time to buy?

David Webb has written extensively on Pole reversal

Alysha Reinard in an expert in Predicting Solar flares, and discovered the flux tube twist method. That she claims

He talks about CME and pole reversal. Magnetic cloud, magnetic field lines, things like that.
