Yeah it gets on my nerves when it happens. Just got back from the beach and the house we stayed at, the fire detectors went off like 3am. Of course everyone was a sleep and had been drinking...yeah that was fun!

I never can understand WHY folks have these alarms--

for gawds sake SECURE YOUR HOME CORRECTLY and toss these things out.

and you don't have to have those ugly iron bars either.

there are many other ways to do this from shutters to simply locking certain windows shut etc.

what's the point of these alarms anyway ???? the criminal has either broken your window to begin with or has already ENTERED YOUR HOME.

use common sense inregard to entrances, garages and windows and secure them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy a gun and ditch the alarm. I leave my door open, hoping for intruders to come in.

I wouldn't bother having a monitored alarm by a control center they can take to long to do anything.
You can have it setup to sms you or call you and other family members when it goes off.

What model of system do you have? Look at the keypad it should have a name and maybe a model name/number. What does they keypad say? Is it a smoke detector with a low battery?

You can program them to not notify on backup cell low voltage.
But then someone only has to turn your power off to disable the alarm.

I'm moving out of this place... used to be an OK place to live, but lots of weird energies are attracted to this place now... they got very strong just before this little kid a few doors down was killed with a meat cleaver by the mom's boyfriend..

it's like the energies were gathering around 'cause they knew it would happen

around that time, my poltergiest came and the alarms freaked out...used to walk thru the apartment complex and hear the alarms going off randomly like they were all freaking out at the same time

glad I'm out of here in October... this rat trap is haunted

Alarm systems are a scam. You're getting screwed out of a fee every month for nothing. The chances of you being robbed at night while you are asleep are almost nonexistent. It's a case of locking the front door while the thief (alarm company) walks out the back.
