If you look for recent video´s you will see that the concept is reproduced and actually seems to work. He has been sitting on this for about 10 years and once it became clear that it would never be mass produced (so he could make some money) he simply decided to share it with everyone in the hope that it will become wide spread knowledge.

This is just a home DIY method to make batteries which of course is not as efficient and doesn't produce as good results as commercial battery manufacture.
Where they use around 100 milli volts to make a 1.5 volt battery.

The last video shows a load (two leds).

The batteries keep their charge steady during that load.

When the load is taken off, the voltage steadily increases.

(See more on that on John´s channel and also the Marcus Reid tests a mentioned in the end of the second video).

That´s why I am excited about this, it keeps it´s voltage as opposed to conventional batteries.

Also, when a cell is shorted out, the voltage rises past the initial charge. That´s really something.

Nope, normal batteries use a chemical reaction. If the reaction is finished your battery is dead.
His crystals, or mother nature's crystals, seem to vibrate internally and with some sort of piezoelectric effect create a constant small alternating current.

It is used/tested in footwear or clothing now to create power when you walk or move. Some crystals produce electrons when you bend or disturb them. This effect is the piezoelectric effect.

According to Hutchison, his mineral crystals resonate on the same frequencies found in the zero point field. The zero point field is supposed to be an electric field that exists everywhere in the universe. This field is vibrating and charges and even elements or constantly going into and out of existence.
They found that if you cool matter to 0 Kelvin, that molecules did not completely cease to move and swirl. There was still energy left, constantly, to keep the elements moving. Some attribute this too this zero point field.
So his crystals get excited by this field, they resonate, and so constantly vibrate and produce a steady small current we can actually use. That is the theory.

I sure hope this is ZPE, because when it is, it is truly an infinite source of energy.

I've watched this guy over the years and I'm not sure I'd believe anything he or his followers say.

As far as I can see he is experimenting with vibrating electro magnetic fields. I can imagine that molecules and even whole objects can be moved like that, or break apart or merge into each other. If you manage to get molecules to vibrate heavily those type of effects seem a bit logical.
Floating stuff in the air is ofcourse a bit less logical, but I don't know, it is possible an electric field generates more force than the gravitational field or something.
His crystal batteries, or earth batteries also don't sound too far fetched if you consider we get bombarded with radiation that affects electrons and molecules constantly.
I believe, for now, that this guy is legit.

It also saddens me that most people like to say climate change is a conspiracy and are standing on the side of a continuation of fossil fuel use, while these type of new energy things, and others, could be very much a reality.

Please keep us informed on how well this works out.
I'm leary of this, because Hutchison seems to be a fake. He can NEVER prove his Hutchison effect in front of a news person or new camera. It just won't work, and he always gives some poor excuse... but when he's "alone" suddenly it works like magic???

The reference is to crystals.

What kind of crystals?
Where does one get these type of crystals?
Are they found in nature or are they manufactured/processed?
How would you know the correct type of crystal when you had it in your hand?
