By saying hunters are our own, did you intend to suggest that all these anomolies are being devised & consummated by our Governments & TPTB? Because, I have given plenty of thought to that concept. However, in finality, the idea seemed unsubstantiable to me. When you take into account the trillions of dollars they would have conceivably expended. I agree with the 1st AC's suggestion... Live the life you have to the fullest, and leave the worrying and fretting to God. After all, mortals cannot stop what is coming, if it's coming....only God can.... So live! And if that means spending time enjoying your partner, to some, I say... go for it. I'd rather die, having felt loved, rather than with ulsers!

OP, I have thought about this myself and tend to agree.

Life on another planet would have evolved in a manner of natural selection and competition like we did. Further, if you look at nature, animals that are preditors or hunters are usually the smartest ones. Wolves vs Sheep, Lions Vs Zebras, ect....

Therefore, intelligent life would most likly have at least evolved as a hunter and would have perfected warfare. The idea of happy aliens showing up to hug us is stupid. The most likely would come for the reason humans invade a new land, resources.
