You are partially right. There are always 3 levels of knowledge in everything in our lives: the widespread version is that this is just a game that makes you smarter. The smaller lie is the one you mentioned - whoever plays it starts to treat people like pawns. The truth however is always related to Jesus and the Bible. The Devil who wants to hijack our souls in hell wants to mix darkness with light, truth and lie, in a way that's unrecognizable by people who haven't turned to the Lord. The turning to the Lord, that he would take the veil away (Corinthians 3:16). This is why the checkerboard is the "basis" of every satanic temple - because the basis of deception is mixing the darkness with light. Just like Rihanna sings about it: "Disturbia, it's like the darkness is light".

I have read somewhere that there are actually two different groups of cults out there. That one considers itself "good" meaning the white and that one considers itself "bad" meaning the black. They both came out of the Catholic Church. The black is the Illuminati who torture people in the name of evil and their own pleasure. The white is a group that I haven't found the name for yet but is associated with the Catholic Church and is directly responsible for the rampant Pedophilia going on with priests. This "white/Good" group believes the same thing that the "black/bad" group does, meaning that they think they get special powers from diddling little children, it's just that the "white/good" group is sick enough to think they are doing it in the name of God. The black and white CHESS BOARD (it came from Alice In Wonderland. That's where they stole the symbolism from)means to say that we are all pawns to these groups who are constantly locked in a global conflict of who will come out the winner and essentially rule the world. It has even been suggested that it's not domination the Illuminati want but the destruction of the world again with the "black/bad theme" and that the other group just wants to rule it. There is actually no evidence to this. Although it's clear that horrific scandals have always been a central part of politicians, the military and the world's elites or noble families (sad but true) nobody really knows to what level these scandals go to. We don't know the details. It has been suggested that in reality the world is split into three major power forms: Catholic Church, Illuminati, and the remaining Nobility and that what we are experiencing today is just a huge power struggle between the three. Each one competing for the right to bring in the next wave of technology, science and art, and thus financially control it. To wear the black and white checkerboard and flip the 666 sign or devil horn hand sign is to suggest that one is controlled by evil, or that one is a pawn for the Illuminati. It could also be a fad that many of these artists are doing that is meant to say that they are being forced to sell songs and videos with sexually explicit lyrics and visuals by the companies because that is what sells today. It could be to express a lack of control in one's profession.
