It took me till about age 23 to quit responding to the crap that happened in the past w/ my mother & to not respond to any more of her stuff -- period. It was the most freeing & liberating of things when it finally resonated that I cannot fix her problems or anybody else's, that is their karma to deal with. That lesson has also made it possible for me to realize that I do not have to take the burden of anybody's karma on my shoulders. We all have enough of our own lessons to learn without enabling others to not learn theirs.

I guess this is what my Grandmother meant when she told me to just "let it go" & "live your own life". OBTW, my Grandmother was ahead of her time & very awakened, she was not highly educated but "understood", she always told me that the world would soon "come to a head" not in her lifetime, but most certainly in mine, and I should be ready for it. It appears more & more that she was right.
