What if the Earths core was creating the strange sounds people are reporting | |

There is something that she is saying or maybe she is just grumbling before she wakes up who knows. I do know that I will welcome her with open arms and ride what ever is comming. be safe there is alot of crap going on and mother earth is one that I would not bet aginst. |

Two nights later I made the connection between the metallic sounds coming from 'nowhere' and the iron core. Maybe what we are hearing is the core coming closer to the surface. Good post. Not saying it is correct, but a good theory. |

"I once put instant coffee in the microwave... I almost went back in time." "I do not see coincidence, I see Providence." "To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders." |

I find the sounds in the above linked clip to be quite soothing. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1548753 Australia 09/13/2011 09:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There have been many posts about the strange noises being heard in various places, over the past few months. But are you aware of one of the earliest ones which was about a cave in Tibet where strange sounds were recorded in a sacred cave? The legend is that enlightened beings sleep deep in the cave. They seem to have woken up. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1383816 United States 09/13/2011 10:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You ever hear that hollow earth theory? The other day I was watching a video that shows how (theoretically) energy currents come thru our solar system and affect the magnetosphere of earth and showed how the ley lines on the surface radiate inward and bounce the inner ley lines (as above so below, balance kind of thing). I kind of wondered if that's where that sound comes from...the trumpet sound persay. YOu know like when you blow into a bottle. Air displacement. LOL |
hey User ID: 1549524 United States 09/14/2011 09:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After posting this I was banned, here at work now so I can reply, a little. I have a few links I found last night with physicists discussing this idea, really interesting stuff. They mentioned that the core grows over time and eventually it begins to cool and fuse to the next layer, not sure if they were talking of the mantle and the outer core or the inner core fusing to the outer core. They discussed magnetic anomallies over the south Atlantic ocean affecting satellites in a dire way and how that area of low magnetism is growing. They discussed the speed of the core slowing down and how that could affect time, to complicated to discuss now while I'm at work. Hoping I'll get unbanned soon. The Earth isn't the only thing growling!!! |

hey (OP) User ID: 1551848 United States 09/15/2011 08:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Game on, I was banned for stuff. Thanks for the response on an interesting topic. This planet we live on has a heart and it's beat is slowing affecting our magnetic field which protects us all. I wonder if the ancients didn't realize this too? Some formulate that it is a cyclical process where the core warms and cools causing all kinds of interesting results, tectonics, weather, time anomalies to name a few. I had some links to interesting discussions on the subject of "Earths core slowing" but I can't share them (learned the hard way). Do your own research, great topic and spot on in relation to the recent events here on our beautiful planet. Not much is known of the dynamo that rules our world. I think instead of looking up we should be looking within. |

[link to www.sciencedaily.com] Huge but great, satellites studying the Earths core, European Space Agency [link to esamultimedia.esa.int] [link to www.bbc.co.uk] I had some time to read about the slowing of the "core", it all makes perfect sense that this alone could be the cause of much of what we are seeing and hearing about today. Going way out there, what if the pyramids were designed to reignite the power of the core somehow? :) I love conspiracy! Last Edited by hey on 09/15/2011 08:51 PM |

I'm no scientist, geologist, chemist or any "ist", just a girl thinking. People around the globe are posting these threads about the Earth making noise. Of course I click and read and listen. I hear metallic noise, anyone else? It sounds like the biggest piece of heavy equipment you've ever seen trying to put on the brakes or gain speed to me. I welcome your enlightenment, your BS flags, your ideas. Quoting: hey Here is an interesting study on the Earths core. [link to www.sciencedaily.com] |

[link to www.sciencedaily.com] From what I've been reading the heating and cooling of the inner and outer core are uneven. It makes sense to me that there would be "grinding " in the areas of cooling. What if this grinding is what we are hearing? It would make sense if it wasn't heard everywhere, just in certain areas. My little posts don't touch the surface of this subject. I'm trying to post my thoughts but my husband (who hates the internet) won't stop talking about the dog farting, I can't concentrate under these conditions! One reason why I rarely comment on anything around here! |

I welcome your enlightenment, your BS flags, your ideas. Quoting: hey Here is an interesting study on the Earths core. [link to www.sciencedaily.com] The core is in the state of plasma and plasma allows some strange things to happen with sound waves. Not only does sound propagate very well in plasma but several interesting things happen with sound waves which I won't go into detail here. But the sound wave still has to be generated somewhere, somehow. You can generate sound waves using plasma oscillation and a strong current, like the one from the Sun. So these events should be more common during the peaks of activity from the sun. Sound is transmitted through gases, plasma, and liquids as longitudinal waves, also called compression waves. Through solids, however, it can be transmitted as both longitudinal waves and transverse waves. Longitudinal sound waves are waves of alternating pressure deviations from the equilibrium pressure, causing local regions of compression and rarefaction, while transverse waves (in solids) are waves of alternating shear stress at right angle to the direction of propagation. Matter in the medium is periodically displaced by a sound wave, and thus oscillates. The energy carried by the sound wave converts back and forth between the potential energy of the extra compression (in case of longitudinal waves) or lateral displacement strain (in case of transverse waves) of the matter and the kinetic energy of the oscillations of the medium.
