If there were space junk , satellites or whatever out in space, how would they be able to reenter earth? I mean wouldn't it just float off into space somewhere or can't they make it move somewhere else? I mean they have other satellites that are going thousands of light years away discovering other planets so I don't get it. Or why wouldn't the satellites have a mechanism programmer in the satellite to self destructed in case , so there would be no risk of it falling back down to earth?
