Kids have been witnessing this type of thing for thousands of years and watching mommy die too. It´s part of life. Most people up until 60 years ago, had kids at home, with a doctor present.

LOL. Call me a bad parent but I let my four year old child watch child birth on the national geo channel.

If just it comes ´natural´ to ya, do it, lol.

My 3yo attended the waterbirth of his little brother in our master bedroom. When the baby was brought out of the water, the older one jumped, clapped and cheared. It was the most precious thing I´ve witnessed. He got to hold his little brother within 30 minutes of birth.
