The toll could grow as state health officials wait for test results on other deaths suspected of being part of the outbreak. Damn, I almost bought a couple at the store the other day. I am glad kiwis were on sale. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2076525 Won't help if they're using human waste as fertilizer. (which they are). Correct! They inject the waste from waste treatment plants directly into the soil as fertilizer. Of course they say it's safe to do this...free fertilizer, right? and it solves the disposal prob.!? |

Wash the melon before you cut it - you take the bacteria into the melon if you don't. And they DO NOT use human waste fertilizer - I know for a fact since I am within 60 miles of where these are grown. And they were NOT grown where the name "Rocky Ford" implies. And NO, I am not giving you a link!! |

PLOW DRIVER User ID: 1284302 United States 09/28/2011 08:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The local news here in Colorado said that the bacteria could live in the host for up to 60 days before a person felt sick. A recent article about a healthy woman in Denver in her 30's and a avid runner said that she came down with it in 3 days, and almost died, went into a coma. The Colorado death happened in Grand Junction, within an hour of my home. All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given to us.-Gandolf the Gray |

Thanks OP, I just tossed a cantelope out! Going to scrub the fridge now!!!! A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything. Friedrich Nietzsche if I did not feel so sad as I look at them. Sad because they do not know the truth and I do know it. Oh, how hard it is to be the only one who knows the truth! But they won't understand that. No, they won't understand it." --from The Dream of a Ridiculous Man (1877) |
