The big plan to demonize capitalism and institute a socialist government in the United States. | |

Maybe states would have enough money to keep infrastructure repaired if the federal government wasn't taking 30% of the fucking money. Fuck the federal government. They are the ones that allowed this fasciocapitalcorpacracyocialsm bullshit to ruin all of our lives. |

It needs to be the other way, as you indicate. States should have 1st dibs on tax revenue and send any extra to the federal. Interstate highways and US routes (as opposed to St Rtes) should be federally maintained, all others locally |

By opposing the idea of a commonwealth, what you're essentially promoting is the idea of "I've got mine, so fuck you all!" I guess that's just the difference between us, and never the twain shall meet. I really don't see the point of continuing these kind of debates, due to the polarization in degrees of spiritual evolvement. Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid, it is true that most stupid people are conservative. John Stuart Mill ************ It's much harder to be a liberal than a conservative. Why? Because it is easier to give someone the finger than a helping hand. Mike Royko |

Quoting: JATMON Is it that they have the highest standards of living in the world? Does that piss you off? Is it the 6 weeks of paid vacation that everyone gets? What is it? The problem with socialism is that sooner or later, you run out of other people's money. Right now, in America, less than 50% of the people are working to support everyone else. That is not sustainable. Eventually, the working people decide it makes more sense to sit on their asses and collect that socialist check. At that point you have nobody working, and the welfare checks stop. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe |

Meals on wheels, personal care home repair etc. I will probalby vote in favor, it, like all social programs should be on a local level, net federal. But that is not my point. One of the examples of people they help is a lady 88 years of age, legally blind and deaf. What do you suppose drives this gal to be independent (as opposed to be totally dependent)? Is this gal not spriitualy evolved enough to forego her foolish pride and just vegetate? Which are evolved, those that struggle with as little help as possible or those that game the system for their lazy lifestyles? Who is evolved, the one's who encourage well earned self pride or those who offer to erode it? |
