How do they know they are coming to attack?

Good question, I wondered the same, however if you read the article it says they are from a planet called Gootan, and it's labeled as a hostile planet, beats the hell out of me how they would/could come to that conclusion.

Yeah, the fact that they know the name of their planet leaves alot unexplained.

Lets assume that there are ships coming for a moment. That they know the planet and that there are hostile intentions would mean that we are already in communication with far off worlds. OR It could mean that there is a group on our world who wants us to fear any outsiders that may come. Lord knows we've been primed to think of ETs as hostile with many of those Hollywood movies.

Personally, I think I'd reserve my own judgement for when they get here and we actually communicate. Judge by their actions, not what others tell me I'm suppose to think of them.

100% agree. Not to mention, if they are REAL....our tech probably wouldn't be enough to defend ourselves with out killing our selves in the process, with a nuke for instance. I am sure we have tech that us regular people do not know about, but if Aliens can come here then we are more than likely out classed in war efforts too, i would assume.

Yeah, I think we'd be like that newly discovered tribe in South America - just waving our sticks at the helicopters.

But I do take solace in the fact that they haven't attacked our planet (at least in the history we have knowledge of). I'm sure they could have done so if they wanted, especially in our past when we didn't have things like missles. So why wait until we do? That's why I think it's not an attack (if this story is true and they are on their way).

Perhaps they feel it's time for our civilization to become part of whatever is out there. Maybe we are ready now, whereas before we were too closed minded and superstitious. Though there are still plenty of people like that too. LOL

And this could be the reason they decide to, If you ever researched Val Thor of Venus, again an interesting read, who knows if it is true or not, but because we are becoming more advanced and are full of fear and kill first then ask questions, could be grounds for a hostile attitude of aliens towards us, this could go either way. Yeah I researched the Valiant Thor story. It only makes me upset that we were offered so much that could help us only to have our greedy elite refuse because it would not line their pockets as much as keeping us slaves would. I often wonder how different things would be if we had accepted their help. This was back in the 1950's I believe.

That's one reason why I think there is a group here on earth (same elitists that would turn down VT) that would try everything in their power to get us to reject ETs by using the fear tactic. And they've kept the general populace in so much ignorance and denial about ETs, that it will be easy for them to fill in the blanks with whatever program they want them to believe.

It's going to take alot of efforts by people who have actually researched all of this to calm the fear tide.

You do realize that weekly world news is a tabloid newspaper much like the enquirer, cracked magazine and the onion. I really wouldn't give it much credibility considering it is known and has been sued for making fake stories. I wouldn't worry yourselves over this story there are alot more things to be worried about in the world than trashy newspaper stories like this.

Its not about being worried, more aware, Do I personally believe this story?... No I do not, however in light of all the other stories and research I have done, I do think it is possible, and take head to be prepared mentally and physically, if such a thing were to happen. Always in hind sight you wish you could of done things differently, and if you do not prepare yourself for the situations and at least ponder them to try and think of possible outcomes, then you will never truly be prepared, better yet, even have a chance to do so.

Our "world" is amazing and full of possibilities, to discredit things that by all means "could" happen due to being naive and close minded is a cardinal sin in my opinion. By all means do not freak out, just prepare yourself mentally and physically to the best of your ability with out sacrificing the reality of which we live in currently.
