Op,
Please help. My sister is experiencing severe bloating....NEVER goes down. Her stomach is rock hard all the time. What could be causing this and what do you recommend?

And I know this post begs for the smart asses to come out of the woodwork...please control yourselves..

The first big question is allergic reactions, and is the body reacting to something in the diet? Gluten? Try buying rye bread its actually inexpensive from a McGavins Bread basket. Diet pop? GIANT NO NO! Milk? Some people cannot digest it well, I have a friend who bloats massively if she ingests milk products, with all the discomforts.

The last time my stomach went rock hard was in a hospital from 4 litres of blood trapped inbetween the intestines from a ruptured spleen.

Again I don't and cannot give medical advice. The question remains *why* is it rock hard. I would suspect as well the immune system is attacking something in there causing swelling over time.

Its not a lot of information to really go on, I would really recommend for myself in that situation a Master Cleanse and see what comes up (out!) Basically its lemon, real maple syrup, and cayenne pepper - mixed and drank as long as your comfortable. For at least a good week. Myself I'm not a fan of the straight cleanse because its lacking in nutrtition somewhat and I would supplement with at least some salad, or fruit once a day to keep energy levels up.

Another trick is to start hitting the cinnamon. Take a couple tablespoons mix in a protein drink and bottoms up. I find in yogurt its strong, and in porridge its strong (at two tablespoons) but in a protein mix it tastes great, and goes down easy.

Cinnamon is extremely antiseptic. Studies have show it clears out ecoli, and a various multitude of bugs from the colon and is recognized as a strong colon cleanse.

Interestingly here is an article combining a master cleanse with cinnamon
