Never watch but did today. Im recovering off a major drinking night. Laid up on my couch playin on my phone for some reason had the race on.

Aren't the crashes the reason most fans go to watch the race for? it's very boring without them(~)<imo>

Sounds like Dan weldon could be serious injured.

I saw at least 10 vehicles on fire, 4 went air borne and flew +100 yrds, around 15 cars involved. All occurred in the middle of turn 1-2.

Jimmy Johnson had a bad crash last night in the sprint cup, reminded me of the kid of hit that kill Dale but even harder. They really made a ton of safety improvements that allows someone to survive a crash.

Critically injured if you saw right after the crash every emergency responder looks extremely panic and were hoovering around his car.

I've been a huge open-wheel fan and CART stockholder, such a shame. I am extremely concerned for Dan Wheldon. Such a good guy and helped in the development of the new chassis. A well-spoken Brit. Not good when you see the yellow tarp over that car. Could be bad. Pretty sad now

Agreed. Im still in shock. Never watch Indy and got this from the national anthem through the crash. Im sorry but the whole blood lust on hoping for crashes is over for me. This shit got real LIVE and I wasnt ready.

FU asswipe -- They do it because it is a sport. They live on the edge. I would do it if I could. It's a rush. I drove a open wheel car at Pocono last year and was able to get up to 135 mph on the banked oval portion after coming out of the road course portion. It is the biggest rush I've ever had (better than any drug). These guys are warriors and I am extremely worried about Dan Wheldon as he went into the catch fence and it could be very bad.

It is the risk-return tradeoff. I would do it in a second if I could have. Sorry you just don't understand.
