I agree with you. That is my observation too. When the pressure lets up, we see seismic activity. It is like a ball that has been squeezed that goes back to normal and the creases unfold.

Was the pressure low for awhile before the earthquake. Or had their been a white pressure a few days before. Anyone know?

Yes, it could be somewhen the next day, or next week in a period of low pressure.
Depends on where is movement of the plates or basically seismic activity.

I previously thought it would be quite the opposite, increase of EQ when the pressure is high, so I always checked the Quakemaps when I saw the magnetosphere simulation getting white, but it had always been calm then.
Seems like it´s functioning as kind of a levee, so to speak.

Should I be concerned about getting on a plane this evening flying through Chicago and onto San Diego?

So, if this wave is a short bu intense wave similar to the last one, would it not appear to be like a series of thumps? My thoughts are to what extent will that have on the earthquakes we are experiencing now? Kind of like a knock on the door?!?

I hate to ask again,however would really appreciate knowing whether this solar radiation could affect flying today and/or this evening. Also is it safe to be on the west coast for the next four days.

Since the effect should be less the further away you are from the poles, I seriously doubt there will be any risk flying south west today.

no its does not affect flying at this levels. You have lived in it all your life, and we have yet apparently to reach the solar max we last went thru.
