Shouldn't We Apply Market Forces to Govt's Instead of Gov't Forces to Markets?
Imagine, instead of voting at a polling booth, you got a bill based on your 'system useage'.

If you pay the bill, you get to tick up some more 'service' ~ if you don't pay then you may not receive the services, depending on, say, how generously everyone's 'tipped' the service providers recently?

I know, it's far too simple, isn't it?

OK, here's another scenario:

You're reasonably well off DI2K's, kids are at a private school, everyone's got A1 private medical cover, there's a private security
company monitoring your house alarm, boat etc., and yet do you get a tax rebate/refund for not "being a burden"...?

Yeah, right!

More like the harder you work, the more you produce, the more profit you make the more you get sideways by your 'protectors'! You'd better behave yourself too and ensure all that bookkeeping's accurate, or...

cop

Here we are watching all our 'elected representatives' congratulating themselves for making FTA's with (insert other nation here) when why the heck are they penalizing and prohibiting our free trade in the first place? Oh, that's right... mustn't let international market forces apply!

We seem to be experiencing the backlash of not having allowed for these naturally occuring IMF's to freely flow earlier...

It's funny, we pay to have us and our 'freedoms' protected by that which then 'dictates' how much we pay it, with no requirement for it to open it's books and point out all of your useage of it's services.

rant

I truely do wonder how it would work out if it was all allowed to flow, unimpeded?

Which would be the more 'sustainable'?

scratching

I bet Angels aren't 'taxed' for their
'contributions'! Thine Will Be Done...

The purpose of markets is to facilitate a voluntary exchange by two or more individuals.

The purpose of government is to make and enforce laws.

The only way to enforce laws is through coercion and violence.

Without coercion and violence, governments disintegrate.

Markets and governments are mutually exclusive.

That's under the current model.

I believe governments should really
be there to create as level a playing
field as possible to facilitate the
various voluntary exchanges...

Perhaps the current model's due for
disintegration soon...?

The government is the reason for the monopolistic field now. Thanks to excessive licensing fees, compliance restrictions, and other regulations, it's pretty freaking hard for the average individual to enter the market as a business owner.

Governments are not needed to create a level field, they are required to keep them monopolistic.

Perhaps the current model's due for
disintegration soon...?

It's a mathematical certainty, the only question is; will the cycle continue, or will people finally get tired of being ruled by other people and abolish the State?
