The taste is way different and it's darker. GreenWay can be found in a few supermarket chains and its a good honey but better still is locally produced honey from small bee keepers. We have a few here on Long Island and its sold at local farms and farm stands and vinyards. Frater LVX! |

Lots of comments there too. I have always checked the label on honey to make sure it is made in USA, but I guess that is not a good indicator of a quality product. I've been buying big bottles of Fred Meyer honey and was happy with the flavor and that it said it was from "northern US states", but apparently that's one of the pollen free brands. I tried some Trader Joe's honey not long ago and didn't really like it but the price was right and the article says that one is okay. I'd buy local honey but it is so expensive, might as well buy maple syrup if I'm going to go that route. Thanks for posting this information, it is really interesting and helpful. |

I heard a lot of olive oil you buy is really hazelnut oil, soy oil, etc. I look at where it is from and try not to buy the stuff that says it's mixed together from all kinds of southern European and northern African countries. The last stuff I got was Spanish, said it was bottled by the grower. Of course it would be best to buy California olive oil. |

Is there anything now that we consume, that is untouched by chemicals/additives/ etc? Not unless you grow it yourself I guess... Occam's Razor, morans! |
