Every one of the nations listed above were interbred with fallen angels from the second influx after the flood of Noah. This is why God had the Israelites destroy them, every single one of them. They had giants in their populations from these ungodly unions.

You bunch of uneducated retards are failing to acknowledge this is Old Testament law... after the sacrifice of Christ, there is a new covenant with God.

Fools!

Why then does Jesus say that every letter and every dot of the law still stand?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1416114

He didn't say that. He said, "until the law is complete."

He fulfilled the law. That's why on the cross He says, "It is finished."

That does not mean we have a license to sin, "be it never so". What it means is that when we repent, and turn away from sin - we don't feel the punitive aspect of the law anymore because Christ already paid that debt.

Psalms 137:9
How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your little ones against the rock.

Hosea 13:16
Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Luke 19:27
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
(This is the NEW testament here! With god 2.0!)

Jeremiah 49:37
I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2801640

Psalms 137:9 is talking about the offspring of the Whore of Babylon, read it again. The Whore of Babylon is not a human, it's a demonic presence (the lady in red.) Her offspring are demons.

Luke 19:27 Jesus is giving a parable about a conquering king. The King goes out conquering, and when he returns, he pays some servant 10 cities for 10 gold pieces, 5 cities for 5 gold pieces, and for 1 gold piece he pays them death. This conquerer is NOT Jesus, because we learn in Matthew 20 that Jesus pays all of his workers equally, whether they have worked in the field for the whole day, or whether they have done no work in the field, but have just shown up to collect a reward. Everybody gets paid equally. However, with that conquering king, some get paid 10, some get paid 5, some get paid with death. Jesus is not discussing himself in the parable - could he be discussing the Antichrist?

Hosea 13:16 is a prophecy. It's not evil to give people a warning, or give them a prophecy, that's actually gracious and merciful. It gives them a chance to flee or to repent of their sins.

Jeremiah 49:37 When God talks about the SWORD, the SWORD is actually the Word of God. When Jesus returns, he will hold a sword in his mouth. However, it's not actually a literal sword, the sword is an allegory for the Word of God. I think God could be talking about he will send the Word of God after them , and also surrounding countries will take up swords against them too.

God is entirely a good God, and he is in no way capable of doing evil. He does judge righteously and mericifully. But I know that God has destined that that Antichrist Hitler would be destroyed , and surrounding nations would take up arms against them. Back in the ancient days, people were f*cking ruthless, and they slaughtered without mercy. Of course God is going to protect his children.

Here we go, all these religitards picking and choosing what they want to believe out they bible.
Slimy hypocrites, the whole lot of you. I bet most of you have told someone that the word of the bible is true. Meaning EVERY word is true.
Yet you don't follow it and still preach about god and the bible, double standards is an understatement.
I dream of a world without religious dogma, that would be my heaven.

Oh and say what you want about Muslims but at least they follow their holy book.

Are you completely insane?

You quote something that says the OPPOSITE of what you state.

It CLEARLY says PROPHET for the first instance AND it CLEARLY talks about COVERT preaching in the seconnd. Maybe you should consider actually READING what you quote.

Re: The Bible says you need to kill your daughter and your brother if they have a different religion
Under the LAW OF MOSES, everyone is equally condemned : 100% of humans are condemned.

This is because the wages of sin are death. Logically, the consequence of sin had to be death. The Law of Moses describes this.

However, instead of killing a person (which would break one of the 10 commandments) they would kill a lamb instead, or release an animal into the wilderness. Hence the term, scapegoat tounge

Re: The Bible says you need to kill your daughter and your brother if they have a different religion
One twist deserves another. It means that the abandonment of belief to follow after the "other god" that this individual professes, the action of saying no will kill him.

And how do you kill him in disbelief? Pay attention because this is the attitude you need to kill this persuasion, not any action through knife or rock, bullet, or hard weapon.

Don't consent.
Don't hearken.
Don't pity.
Don't spare.
Don't conceal.

You do that and you will kill him, it's the five stages of grief someone goes through before they die.

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance

Stoning with stones can be physical, but there is another S-tone to investigate, one of spiritual things.

So this physical death, it's not necessary to see it only like that.

i believe in god

it seems that too many here whom in the past have ended a discussion with "read your bible" or" the living bible is the indisputable word of god" are now qualifying by negating the ot. either a thing is or it isn"t. at least decide on an abridged version of the kjv before you insist that it's all credible- oh ,but not that part

Read the Bible, morons:

13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;

13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;

13:8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:

13:9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

What you are saying is that the creator of the universe solution to the problem that all other religions in that region was killing babies.

Was to kill people who converted people to these religions.

He did not have any plans of stopping the slaughter of children? Other then stopping more people joining in on the slaughter from His religion?

Why then does Jesus say that every letter and every dot of the law still stand?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1416114

I dont think he meant that that was by his choice, or preference. And we do indeed stll have those laws to read and obey if we choose them. And those who try and choose them for us, no matter what we choose.

Just like the greater/least in heaven comment. 1dunno1

Jesus said (a while later I think) the parable about leaving the weeds (evil yukyness) in the field until the 'harvest'.

Again,, not his choice to leave them in the field,, just too much trouble to move them before the harvest.

I also would like to 'temper' the idea of 'burning' the 'weeds'.

I cool2 , think Jesus would just gently transplant them someplace else, off of the farmers field. If/when it were convienient.
{particularly if you are thinking of 'weeds' as um, 'people'}
Maby they burned weeds back then as a usual thing, and thats ok. They didnt threaten the existance of weeds, they floureshed everywhere.

But say 'Thistle'. Its nothing you want in your corn field. Its got 'prickers' on it. its nothing you want little small ones here and there where you walk bare foot.

But if you let one grow, where you arnt walking on it, or planting a food crop. It a big beutifull plant. Its pretty (its Beutifull!) it gives off a nice smell, it makes a good medicinal tea. Etc. Its still got prickers. it shouldnt be some place you will run into it by accident. But it is as beutifull as any other plant. more beutifull than some other plants in some ways.  Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1416114

Jesus said '~ those who dont obey the old laws will be the least in heaven'. (to appease the TPTB at the time, is my belief)
Then later Jesus said '~ Even the least in heaven shall be greater than John the Baptist (here on Earh) (who is really great)' (to explain to his followers what he meant)
{~in Heaven there is not much difference between the least and the greatest~}

Jesus said ' ~ every letter and every dot of the law will still stand untill the end times (or somthing like that)'

Then later Jesus said (in 'parable' about weeds (darnel) in a field)
"The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’
'"But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel,
you root up the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest,
and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers,
"First, gather up the darnel, and bind them in bundles to burn them;
but gather the wheat into my barn."‘"

Then Later
"He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,
the field is the world;
and the good seed, these are the children of the kingdom;
and the darnel are the children of the evil one.
The enemy who sowed them is the devil.
The harvest is the end of the age,
and the reapers are angels.

Just like the 'bad seeds', the evil laws will be around untill the 'end of the age'.

And,, I was saying that um,, well,, 1dunno1
I, was saying,, I dont think he meant to burn the 'evil ones' from the face of the Earth. Just wants to keep them out of the wheat fields. cool2 1dunno1

Re: The Bible says you need to kill your daughter and your brother if they have a different religion
I guess that 2nd part of what I was trying to say, is really this.

There are 'bad seeds' here in our 'wheat fields' that seem like totaly evil beings. and our natural reaction is to just kill them. (and maby if the are going thru the wheat like a buzz saw that is the best thing we could do.)

But if we wiped them off of the face of the Earth. If we Exterminated them,,. We would be the 'evil ones'. And every child raping mother killing thing they did would just be their justice.

We must be the good guys. And we have a right to weed our fields. But we must not try to exterminate the weeds. In the Wilds they are Gods plants as much as any.

Banned as usual.

“It is far easier to be a weakling than to be a Real Man. Were the Earth less harsh or the circumstances of life less austere, man would destroy himself before the shrine of the languid goddess. Only Real Men can with safety destroy the tangled forests and wilderness of Earth and make from them gardens, but will those who inherit the gardens be Real Men? The law decrees that they must be, or the wilderness will reclaim its own.”

 Quoting: Deuteronomy, Chapter 13 1548221

Like anything else, it needs to be read in context. Context here is cultural.

God had a zero tolerance policy for other religions because the religions surrounding Israel were all about killing their children as sacrifices to appease their gods. God didn't want ANY of that infiltrating His people. The jewish people, smallest of all people groups on the planet at the time, were a witness to the rest of the world that there really was a God who performed miracles, a God they could know and a God who did NOT want people sacrificed to Him.

The modern reader may see this as harsh, but God was SAVING LIFE by implementing this. He knows how prone to evil WE are and wanted us to see just how bad evil really is.

...but, but, but didn't god require Abraham to kill Isaac? ...and don't tell me it was a "test" of faith...

Who told Abraham NOT to sacrifice Isaac? Who provided the ram in the thicket?

Theoretically speaking- couldn't He carry on swimmingly with or without your approval? Is He waiting breathlessly for your judgement of his words and actions?

Simple words, yet, beautifully poetic...a voice of reason, where there were none; if words can quell, a war of rhetoric, a wise man's words can become prophetic!

Re: The Bible says you need to kill your daughter and your brother if they have a different religion
Read the Bible, morons:

13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;

13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;

^This. Though the vast majority of you will scoff and laugh at the explanation, it is precisely why it is in the book of Deuteronomy. Laugh and shrug it off if you wish, but one day you will be held accountable. We all will.

For Israel's theocracy this was the case. Without which they never would have became who they are; Jesus never would have been born and we would all have been put to the sword long ago by pagan Rome.

The verse does not apply today.

Re: The Bible says you need to kill your daughter and your brother if they have a different religion
"Read the Bible, morons:" (Wow what a Greeting)

OP these verse's are talking about the Israelite people, who were half intermingled with Idolatry from Egypt they had to cull the sickness from their society, So that they were not half confused/mislead on keeping the laws of God.

As they were God's Chosen people who were meant to take the Light of God and share it with ever nation
(which they did not)

They were also meant to keep a share of their earnings for redistributing to the poor, every 7 years, which they also did not do, they were also meant to loan people money who needed it, without any interest
(so they did the exact opposite)

Guess this is why God Moved to the Gentiles and then to the rest of the world.

"Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles." Isaiah 42:1

"I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;" Isaiah 42:6

"And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth." Isaiah 49:6

"Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders." Isaiah 49:22

The Jewish Prophet Isaiah Certainly knew the Future, especially concerning the Messiah which the Pharisee's rejected, Even though he Fulfilled all of the Prophetic Criteria.
