I think I agree with you, but I'm not entirely sure I understand what you are saying.

As a point to some friends once, I walked into the keyboard room of a guitar center, and using 4 keyboards I was not familiar with, was able to produce a passable-quality techno song in about 3 minutes. Really, "electronic" music hasn't been interesting since the early 90's.

And yes, label-tards, I am using "electronic" as a blanket term. I don't care about the newest "Grind-math-poly-dub-step-core-classic-goth-emo-body-beats" or whatever new subterm magazine writers have come up with to stay in business. There's just music, and labels don't make crappy music any better.
