How/ why is he trying to deceive us?

My experience has been that psychedelics CAN prodeuce very positive effects and very negative effects on the individual both spiritually and emotionally depending on the persons status upon embarking on a trip and the effects can last for a long time to the entire life of the individual.

I had a night tripping with my new gorgeous GF, sex all night under and around a Christmas tree :)

Did I mention my positive outlook on life :)

However I have also found that the spiritual seeker finds no need for drugs any further.

It may kick you off though :)

I believe McKenna was assassinated. Ironically the brain cancer that killed him was a rare type that resembled a mycelium network of cancer cells that produced "fruiting bodies" of malignant cancer clusters just like the way in which mushrooms grow and propagate. Who says the CIA doesn't have a sense of humor? He was too outspoken in leading the youth toward realizing their full human potentials and he had to go. We know that others have been taken out the same way with artifically induced cancers. . . Bob Marley and Bill Hicks are the first ones that come to mind.

I used to love listening to terence. He's quite a philosopher and interesting orator. Perhaps it would do me some good to check out some audio files of him again.

Or maybe he just developed cancer because he took way too many psychedelics over the course of his life. The CIA couldn't care less about McKenna! This thread is synchronicity for me. I just started reading Rick Strassman's DMT: The Spirit Molecule and am fascinated by the spiritual/supernatural connection to psychedelics.

I have never done them, but wish I had.

They would certainly help, hence their illegality.

Actually psychedelics have been proven to heal people with "mental illnesses". In the 1960's, the government was trying to prove the ill effects of psychedelics, but instead, they discovered that psychedelics like LSD and Mushrooms actually rehabilitated a large majority of the mentally ill. Upon this discovery, the testing was shut down and the results were kept hidden from the public.
