Does true love still really exist? Or have we become too scared and jaded?

I spend each day of my life the same everyday. I get up, wait for the train and look at all these strangers passing by as I make my way to work.

Everyday I wonder..how many have actually found someone they can turn to in the morning and feel truly happy. I have been in many relationships in my days and though it's true I have felt bliss and contempt with another, they all turn out to be just another part of my life that comes and goes.

I spend my days searching for something that I don't even know anymore. How many feel like that? Feel like they get entangled in the same routine day in and day out where as in the back of the mind you think..there has to be more.

Is it love? Does it really exist? Does love really feel like sunlight shimmering bliss? Or is it just a myth to make people feel like crap? Used to be a hopeless romantic in my days..just don't know anymore.

I post this thread in regards to our ever changing society and how we view things such as love. We live in a world of selfishness and greed. We take things for granted and abolish what we don't think is perfect for us. We look at the movies and listen to the songs and expect love to be grand and complete..and when we think we have it, something happens and it's not what you thought. We get hurt over a me, me, me society. I'd like to think it's out there but i'm not so sure anymore. We live in fear when it comes to letting love in. (atleast I do)

Now I just find myself dating, screwing, and thats it. Been with many women..but always feel empty again. Guess it's seclusion and fear of hurt. But why do I still search?

In a world full of selfishness and anger..is love still out there?
