Mr. bleeding heart Canadian: The problem is that people are too stupid to realize they have to shut the fuck up, the cop is there to arrest you not to wipe your nose or your ass, so instead of acting like you have the power to convince the cop that he is wrong and that you are innocent, STOP and shut the fuck up. having said that... i dont see why they have to make use of other nonlethal force when there are 3 or 4 cops to one man. yes they may have to wrinkle their uniform but at what point is it ok to inflict that kind of pain (pepper spray sucks!) on a citizen? there are legal responses to deal with escalation of force. it seems that now it is ok to jump right to pepper spray before anything else. as for the choking, i dont know. i mean i dont that he cut off his air supply or anything but i do know that if you grabed someone like that in public, as a citizen, it would be assault.
