Researchers have tricked glucose-eating cancer cells into consuming a sugar that essentially poisons them - it leaves a "suicide" switch within the cells open to attack. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1516077 "Most cancer cells rely almost exclusively on glucose to fuel their growth," says Guy Perkins of the University of California at San Diego. With Rudy Yamaguchi of Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, Perkins found the cells would take up a similar sugar called 2-deoxyglucose. But this sugar physically dislodges a protein within the cell that guards a suicide switch. Once exposed, the switch can be activated by a drug called ABT-263. This kills the cell by liberating proteins that order it to commit suicide (Cancer Research, DOI: 10.1158/0008-5472.can-11-3091). The approach could ultimately spell doom for several types of cancer, including liver, lung, breast and blood. In mice, the treatment made aggressive human prostate cancer tumours virtually disappear within days. Yamaguchi and Perkins are now hoping to mount a clinical trial at UC San Diego. In a few more years you will never hear another word about this crap. That's what always happens and has been happening since the 1950s. Yet those cartilage pills don't work in some studies because sharks (which don't develop cancer) metabolize everything with their LIVERS and that's why you can find the drugstores sell oil from fish liver but they forbade shark's unless you import from Japan or other countries. You outta increase the PH to 8,5 or 9 cos cancer grows in acidic medium and not alcaline. Do you know why magnesium and calcium are important? Because cells need 02 to be carried within them and cancer cells don't work with oxygen. TAKE A DEEP BREATH WITH YOUR NOSE mainly. That's why people who practice yoga and meditation or are vegetarians don't develop as many tumors as the rest of people. Oncologists never tell you for the cancer to be "detected" outta grow to more than a billion cells! When you touch the 1 cm tumor maybe you got the metastasis already!!!! In this single dot ( . ) there's enough space for 400 cells. So to grow a inch maybe takes 5 or 10 years for Christ's sake. The day we start to SUE oncologists for telling lies that would change! Only 5% of the cancers are due to 'genetic' heritage. |

It is also a rare and natural antibiotic mannose. It was first prepared from D-glucose in 1922. From then on, many scientists around the world have been studied from various prospects on the preparation process and physiological and pharmacological effects. It was found 2-DG can prohibit the growth of virus, bacteria and cancer cells. It also reduce the frequency of epilepsy, reduce its mortal rate, but also limit glucose metabolism in muscle, reducing energy creation, enlengthen life span. Therefore it has wide promising future in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic industries. But because there are still difficulties in producing methods, there is rare commercialization of this product, thus limiting its application in the marketplace. Therefore there is a need for further study of this product." [link to www.2dgpro.com] I wonder which natural substances it occurs in? Also - It sounds similar to the "maple syrup and baking soda" protocol, where the sugars in pure maple syrup bring the high PH baking soda into the cancer cells and destroy them. |
