The sect of Christianity you would be best suited referring to would be Mormonism. I wouldn't call that "the church"  I never said anything abut the church being the good guys FYI. ( all of those would be called apocryphal, and I would probably be determined to be a heretic myself) Blacks are the only people that worship a "god" that doesn't look anything like them. However you can't deny the fact that most abolitionists & Quakers were Christians.
