Actions speak louder than words. as for this particular issue.. the "drug war" must end. it is a ridiculous financial coop that too many have, and continue to fall for. what business is it of anyone's what an adult will full comprehension of their actions chooses to ingest? Drugs are a part of the human experience and no one is forcing another to take them. If a crime is committed (robbery, murder, etc.) THEN the social authorities we put in place should have something to say. Instead, we give them complete domain over what we can and can not ingest; we give the power to others to tell us what PLANTS are "legal". Seriously people. What happens when they deem, say, roses illegal (cause you know, the smell of flowers releases dopamine to the brain causing an altered state?
