Anonymous Coward User ID: 1159625 Canada 12/18/2011 09:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Both you and your pastor are mistaken. Harry Potter is a kid's fantasy movie and that is ALL! Some think it has more sinister implications but it is simply a fantasy movie for entertainment purposes. Your reaction and your pastor's reaction is what's going to wreck the kid! Honestly! If you'd just downplayed it and not over-reacted, things would have been fine. Your son's reaction to your over-exaggeration is what's normal! If you hadn't reacted, he might have been fascinated by the movie but he would have lost interest quickly when the next fun movie or game came out. Lighten up! Don't warp the kid..you seriously can't remove all outside influences in the world and, in fact, if you don't let him be exposed to stuff the other kids are and let him learn how to deal with the world out there, he is definitely NOT going to have anything resembling social skills. And it's not his diet!! Show some mercy to this kid!! Please! And by the way, I'm a Christian too and my kids watched the whole Harry Potter series. They knew the difference between fantasy and reality and now, they couldn't care less about any of those movies. Just trying to help and do what's best for this poor kid! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 959707 Malaysia 12/18/2011 09:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think the problem here is he love to watch that movie Harry Potter just like children like candy. So when you start telling him it's evil, of course he will get angry. You are overacting. Your reaction is causing him to be aggressive. Try telling him slowly and gently. He is just a kid after all. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 7317225 United Kingdom 12/18/2011 09:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | he senses your fear. he looks to you for support and to know everything is ok. give him proper food. tell him that harry potter films are just make believe and dont use the word evil any more. dont read the bible to him for a few weeks but still do your regular routine (going to church etc). dont let that pastor talk to him, he sounds like a nutter. stop trying to let god help your sont with this praying over him and help him yourself by getting a grip of reality. |
A Voice In The Wilderness User ID: 1506783 United States 12/18/2011 09:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have two children, I homeschool both of them. It's hard getting them to socialize with other children so I let them go to friends houses to play sometimes. I let my son go to a friends house, I don't know them well but I thought the mother was a Christian. I was wrong. When my son got back home he told me that they watched Harry Potter! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4104666 I immediately took my son into his room and made him start praying but I think it was too late already. I was reading scripture to him, trying to get him to understand how witchcraft is evil and he just started yelling at me and telling me to stop! It's like the words of the scripture were hurting him. This was the first indication I had that he was possessed. Ever since then he has been acting differently. He doesn't do as I say, he yells and throws things. It's gotten so bad that we've had to cut back on his schooling. It's been getting so bad that I've had to keep him locked in his room for long periods of time. The other day I caught him telling his sister that the Bible is "stupid". I told him not to ever blaspheme and asked him why he would say that. He told me that the devil told him to say it! I took him to our church and the pastor sat with him a while. After running a few tests he told me that my child is definitely possessed. He said I should keep my son away from my daughter because the demon might travel. I've tried everything and nothing is making the situation any better. I've had people from my church come and we've prayed over him. I read scripture to him and make him pray. The last time we had church members over he refused to stay still and I had to hold him down in his bed while we prayed. I m so worried, what should I do? Does anyone else have experience in this sort of thing?? My pastor said I should put him on a restrictive diet to help drive the demon out. Will this help? I've started feeding him mostly rice and water but he seems to be getting worse. Please help!! You are correct on your assessment friend. But if your pastor was a man of God he would have commanded the demon to come out of the boy and depart in the name of Jesus. I'm curious, where do you live? Last Edited by A Voice In The Wilderness on 12/18/2011 09:28 PM The Truth About Thread: The FINAL EVENTS Of Bible Prophecy "We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist." - Martin Luther (Aug. 18, 1520) "While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them. And those who refuse to accept and obey God's Word until every objection has been removed, and there is no longer an opportunity for doubt, will never come to the light" (The Great Controversy, p. 527). "Jesus did not come to change the law, but he came to explain it, and that very fact shows that it remains, for there is no need to explain that which is abrogated." - Charles Spurgeon "Jesuit Adam Weishaupt established the modern version of the Illuminati specifically to be a front organization behind which the Jesuits could hide. After being formally abolished by Pope Clement XIV in 1773, the Jesuits used the Illuminati and other organizations to carry out their operations. Thus, the front organizations would be blamed for the trouble caused by the Jesuits." Bill Hughes (Author of The Secret Terrorists and The Enemy Unmasked) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7347241 United States 12/18/2011 09:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Kids usually act crazy cause the parent is feeding them garbage. Like sugar, processed foods, and mcdonalds. His soul is not at stake. You need to relax and quit preaching to him or you'll really turn him into a devil. Just let him be a kid. Make sure he gets outside to run around and play. He needs to spend time with his dad also so he'll know how to act. Boys dont emmulate their mothers. If you blow the silly religious crap out of proportion you're going to warp his mind. And thats a shame cause he sounds pretty brilliant. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1499403 Canada 12/18/2011 09:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If this is true, then you need a true Christian to exorcise the demon(s) from your son. "Praying over" him is obviously not working; he is beyond that stage now. The help your son needs can only come from God, through a true, born-again, spirit-filled Christian who underwent a verifiable life-changing rebirth into christianity. Pray to God to send you knowledge of that person. By the way -- your son is not 'possessed'. He has demonic influence, but he is far from possessed. I was once like your son, at his age, but grew up in an atheist household, so my hatred for all things biblical was approved by my elders and considered normal. I was born again through an exorcism 12 years ago, at age 36, and have followed Jesus ever since. Please feed your son proper food (that is, clean organic meat, vegetables, fruit, sweets that he likes) and let him know how much you love him. Never let him lose sight of your unconditional love for him and God's unconditional love for him, even if he doesn't want to hear about it and mocks you. The rice and water diet is bordering on child abuse, and isolation is the worst thing you can do to him, as it gives the demons the opportunity to gain a further foothold through his resentment and feelings of being 'bad' and 'outcast'. Spend as much time as you can with him. Go for walks with him, go for bike rides with him, just love him. He's going to be OK. You're watching out for him and God is watching out for him. But make sure you look for that person who can drive the demon(s) from him. God will bring that person to you, when it's time. |

If your real, then send us the name of your Church. AND START FEEDING YOUR SON AND NOT ACTING LIKE A MORAN!!! If you real, then you are acting like an imbecile. |
