I'll tell you why Murph.

The other day I whittnessed a couple of dogs almost hit by a passing truck. I too almost hit them but swerved just in time to avoid any collision.

These poor dogs looked so scared, so I took a chance and stopped and I oppened my door and yelled..."Come on boy, let's go..LETS GO BOY...get in go for a ride."

I was shocked when the two ran over to my door and jumped in. I was on my way to work and now had two very greatful riders that were most likely totally lost and hungry, what to do..what to do.

I get to work, punch in and tried to figgure out what I should do next, it was going to hot out and they wouldnt survive in the van. I tried to call Animal control, but apperantly they do not come to get lost pets anymore, or so the recording stated. The boxer had a tag with a bum number, but it did have an address.

Well, I decided to ask for some time off to get them to the address listed on the tag, it was a long shot as it was 15 miles from where I picked them up, at but worth it if they got home.

I took off two hours, and as it turned out it was a good address and there was a poster pinned on a tree with the two of them on it. Me, being a lover of animals know how important they are so I was happy get them home. As it turns out they had been gone for 3 days becouse the gate was left open in the back after some landscappers left.

I called the number on the poster and the lady was crying with joy and on her way back home. I put them in the back yard and closed the gate and left.

She was bawling on the phone...made me tear up a bit too..

The dogs names are Sissy and MURPHY!
