Reading more on this last night...this is the first time in a very long time that seals/walruses have died in vast numbers, this far north. Apparently the frigid waters of the north help keep certain bacterias and diseases from growing/getting worse. For something to have broken through that natural protection, it must be very powerful.

It is also frightening to think that 70% of all the Crab sold here in America comes from that region as well and being a bottom feeding crustacean who knows HOW MUCH we will be affected from eating the stored Radiation in all sea food caught in that Northern region.  I stopped eating seafood after the Gulf oil spill.
