Yes, there is some media we choose to engage. But, even the background noise in cities never lets your subconcious rest. Put on top on that the profusion of supposed conveniences and reinforced peer logic and you accept conditions as inevitable.
The proper definition would be: You have become enured/inured. And yes, strong minds may rise above, but, I do believe we have a responsibility to our fellow man as well.
