Never done anything greater than ibuprophen.

Never had trouble quitting opiates. Now quitting Xanax, thats another story. Literally months of withdrawl.

Quit methadone cold-turkey... most disgusting feeling in my life. Literally zero-sleep for a week straight until somewhat spiritually repaired by a psilocybin excursion. Sweet, sweet sleep then followed :)

addictions suck....but quitting them sucks also.

I havent taking any shrooms to help me but i have been mediating and fasting. Helps more then most people think.

I was thinking about quitting smoking weed and cigarettes... the trouble is I go 1 day and am full of rage.

I wouldnt stop them both at the same time. smoke some bud while your getting of cigs and then it will be easier on you.

O yeah, thats a bad idea.

I quit smoking weed 2 yrs ago, and that made me feel like you, getting very angry for nothing, and smoking has the same feeling, not as bad as weed did, but stopping both same time is bad combo i think.

Yea. There are actually 2 withdrawls that can kill you. Benzodiazapine (xanax, ativan, vailum, etc.) and alcohol. Yes, you can literally die from a hangover.

I wasnt aware that alcohol wd can kill you.

How long did it take you after quitting weed to feel normal again? People say there are no marijuana withdrawls but I've had to quit a few times and had trouble sleeping/eating and acted like a fucking asshole because my anger was out of control!

Unfortunately, I have chronic pain due to fibromyalgia and inflammatory arthritis. I have been on pain meds for two years now. I'm treated like a drug addict. I take my medication as prescribed, I've never bought or sold pills, I don't drink and I don't do any other drugs. It seems that Dr's are overly cautious about prescription pain meds because a few bad apples spoiled the whole bunch.
I wouldn't be able to live my life with the amount of pain that I am in. The meds help enormously. I will be on medication for the rest of my life,I'm only 37 years old.
The type of arthritis I have is due to an auto-immune response after a botched abdominal surgery. It affects every joint in my body including every disc in my spine. The pain can be unbearable.
I don't get "high" from my pain meds, I get relief.
Why were you on oxy-codone to begin with, if you don't mind answering that question (don't want to dig into your privacy)?

I have RA. I also was in a car accident last year that made my RA attack my neck really bad.

Me too. I take it for chronic pain. Works better than weed IMO.

Nah. 20mg of oxycodone, 2mg of Xanax, and a 6 pack.
