Some random coincidences/synchronicities (?)-

Arcadia-
There is a town in Missouri (Iron Co.) called Arcadia. Founded in 1849. The link says Arcadia was a symbol for paradise in Renaissance Europe, actually a place in Greece. It always seemed odd to me that a bunch of semi-illiterate farmers in MO named their town Arcadia. Was there some oral tradition passed down in their families? (mostly English Protestant settlers who migrated in family groups). Some Freemason connection?

I guess you already know the connection between Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar who was burned at the stake - and the name of the junior branch of Freemasons who are called De Molays.
The female branch of Freemasons is called Eastern Stars and the girls branch is called Job's Daughters. I looked up who Job's daughters were in the Bible and one interesting thing was that they were equal inheritors with their brothers, the usual thing was for sons only to inherit. Connection with the idea that Jesus had a daughter (no sons) who went to France and the Merovingians were her descendents? (I'm not saying I believe this, just that someone believes it, maybe Freemasons and the Priory of Sion).

The symbolism of the blue rose and it's used by many artists and authors - it brought to my mind that Tennessee Williams (from St. Louis) used it in the Glass Menagerie. One of the characters had plurosis and called it blue roses. Was he aware of the blue rose symbolism, or was it an accident?

Main reason I'm very interested in this-

It's now said that the Priory of Sion was a hoax by Plantard. I personally believe it exists. I think it does have something to do with Freemasons,.
Here is my own personal strange little story-

When I was 12 I was reading this book called Devil Water by Anya Seton who wrote historical fiction. The main characters were Charles Radclyffe and his brother James who were both English earls. They fought in the Jacobite rising to put the Catholic James Stuart on the English throne. Charles later fought to put James' son Charles on the throne. Both Charles Radclyffe and his brother were beheaded.
So I was telling my dad who was a Freemason one day that I was reading this book about this man named Charles Radclyffe and he looked shocked and said Charles Radclyffe? Why are you reading a book about him?

So, okay, I asked him how he even knew who he was (because he wasn't into English history) and here's where my memory goes vague - I think he may have said that Radclyffe had something to do with Freemasons and I said no, because he was a Catholic. But, I'm not sure. Maybe that's a false memory. You know, Masons can't talk about their super top secret stuff. LOL

Anyway, all I remember is that he had a mini-freak out that I was reading this book about this guy and that always stayed in my mind for some reason probably because he died shortly after that happened and also because I really liked the book and actually still have a copy. Whatever, it was this little incident I always remembered for years.

So fast forward to the late nineties and I read Holy Blood, Holy Grail which was a mind blower. Then I come to the list of all the Grand Masters of the Priory of Sion and damn, whose name is on there as a Grandmaster in the 1700s but Charles Radclyffe.
If my memory serves, HBHG said that Radclyffe was the founder of Scottish Rite Masonry.

hmmm...well he did try to put a Scottish Stuart on the throne..but why would a Catholic start freemasonry? I've always had the idea that Freemasons were anti-Catholic or maybe just anti-pope. But HBHG said one of the popes (Paul I think) was a secret Freemason. It's all so convoluted. I still don't totally understand how they explained the inter-connections in the book.
So, it's my own little intuition that Priory of Sion actually exists and they really do believe these things. I think my dad knew something about PoS. Also, why would three authors from the BBC get pulled into a hoax? Not very likely.
