Iran slams EU oil embargo, warns could hit US


TEHRAN/BRUSSELS - Iran accused Europeans on Monday of waging "psychological warfare" after the EU banned imports of Iranian oil, and U.S. President Barack Obama said Washington would impose more sanctions to address the "serious threat presented by Iran's nuclear program."

Regardless of all the drama, the harsh physical reality is Iran has the capacity to close the strait for nine minutes.

If they do, shortly thereafter they will not have the military capability to close down a street.

If it happens, it's because someone WANTED nuclear war bad enough to position everyone in a lose-lose situation, so they could ultimately gain. Your guess is as good as mine, but I don't see it happening.

Iran is controls the price of oil with its option to close Hormuz.

The higher the price the less effective the sanctions.

After a certain point they work in reverse and become profitable overall for Iran while destroying the USD.
