Crime Drama

Life on Mars
Cracker
Sherlock

Comedy

Only Fools and Horses
Peep Show
Spaced
Red Dwarf
Blackadder
Fawlty Towers
Keeping Up Appearances
Father Ted
Allo Allo
Monty Pythons Flying Circus
Benny Hill

Some people would probably suggest the likes of abfab or the vicar of dibley but those were never my cup of tea.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9929408

Thanks for the list. I've seen most of the older comedies - Fawlty Towers, Spaced, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You BEing Served, As Time Goes By, Flying Circus, Benny Hill, but there were some new ones on that list. I liked the Vicar of Dibley - not the best, for sure, but entertaining.

I LOVE Sherlock, and I'll definitely check out Life on Mars and Cracker.

TY.

CAN'T STAND IT!

Ugh. If I wanted to watch rich people's every living moment, I'd spend time in hollywood. Rich get richer. I don't get it. Oy.

How about Red Dwarf and One foot in the grave.

I've got both on DVD, classics!

A personal favorite from the 70s now available on Netflix is Raffles. Black Books has some of the finest moments of absurdity I've seen.

I don't know if you can get hold of it but the first two series of Torchwood are great. The 2nd two are good, but I preferred the first two. It's scifi & set in Wales.

A pretty much unknown (but with a cult following) from 2004, it takes the piss out of 80's shows :) you'll have to excuse the adverts, but they are the full episodes.
