Accusing ppl of running away. ALL YOU´VE done is SPAM that thread with a composite post of stuff, off topic,(or rather back on topic, as you were losing the other arguments) that you don´t understand. Is that because someone ripped you a new asshole concerning PAYING to publish a book(again)? |

You *know* that you´ve ´fried´ far too many braincells as it is by reading that trash (you´ve aleady lost the ability to distinguish ´fantasy´ from ´reality´), so you can´t afford to ´fry´ that many more. |

Anders (OP) User ID: 38330 United Kingdom 11/01/2005 07:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | MYRON Wallace was played by actor Christopher Plummer in the 1999 feature film, The Insider. The screenplay was based on the Vanity Fair article "The Man Who Knew Too Much" by Marie Brenner and accused Wallace of capitulating to corporate pressure to kill a story by 60 Minutes about Jeffrey Wigand, a whistle-blower trying to expose the activity of "big tobacco". he sold out above that is one example of hundreds i could cite |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 38459 United States 11/01/2005 08:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why do you think Wallace, not his network, was pressured and bowed to that pressure? Decisions about what gets aired or not because of corporate pressure are made at executive levels, not by editors, or the pricipals in a program like 60 minutes. They make the programs, argue that they should be aired, but the final decision is not in the hands of the reporters, like Wallace. So, your criticism A., which has merit, is being directed at the wrong person. |
